Squiggie's News
For those of you who don't already know me, I am Squiggie, affectionately known as "The Shop Greeter". But, being the versatile, smart and adorable dog that I am, I can also be the "Online Greeter" and would like to wish you a warm welcome to my news page which will include information on Dunedin, as well as some doggie news about town. By the way, I am a Shitzu-Poodle and, even though I am getting a bit older, am still as cute as can be.
I have the pleasure of living in "Delightful Dunedin", recently voted the most walkable city in America. Our local beach, Caladesi Island State Beach, was voted best beach in America in 2008 by none other than Dr. Beach and our fair city was also voted best place to retire by Money Magazine.
Note: Patti, my mommy, makes me come to work almost every day, so I am not seeing retirement in my foreseeable future.
So let's see what's happening here in Dunedin..........
2nd Friday Dunedin Wine/Art Walk
Stroll through Delightful Downtown Dunedin every 2nd Friday of the month between 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Visit participating merchants and receive special gifts and offers. Wristbands are available for purchase (at select locations) for the event and to be entered in the raffle.

Dunedin Doggie Rescue
Dunedin Doggie Rescue / Home at Last is a not for profit network of volunteers dedicated to saving doggies from rural kill shelters around Florida. After the dogs are vetted, trained and socialized they are brought to a variety of public places for showings and then a forever home is found for them in Dunedin or the surrounding areas.
Dunedin Doggie Rescue puts on a variety of fund raising events for the pooches, including the monthly Suds on Sunday, held the first Sunday of each month at The Dunedin Brewery. A fun day for both doggies and humans with dog washes, pedicures, ear cleanings, music, beer and good stuff for sale. All proceeds go to Dunedin Doggie Rescue and you even get a free beer with your doggie service.
